Rail- Union Pacific Railroad, with rail services to Mexico available from Imperial.
Truck- Regular and Irregular common carriers for Intrastate and Interstate services. Overnight delivery to: San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tucson, and intermediate points.
Air- Imperial County Airport (Boley Field), located within the city limits, has general aviation facilities, and provides scheduled passenger service to Los Angeles, Phoenix, other points in Arizona and California.
Bus- Greyhound, Shuttle Bus, and Dial-A-Ride.
Water- Nearest water port facilities are located in San Diego, and Los Angeles.
Highways- State Highway 86 traverses the City and intersects with Interstate 8 four miles south of Imperial. Interstate 8 connects to San Diego to the west, and Arizona to the east.
Water Supply:
The City of Imperial can supply 7 million gallons of water per day. Currently the City peaks production at 2.5 million gallons. Water rates are $9.00 plus $1.04 for every 100 cubic feet (748 gallons) used.
Sewer Services:
The City of Imperial provides sewer services with a 1.4 million gallon per day plant. Current peak flow is 2.8 million gallons.
Energy:
Electricity is provided by the Imperial Irrigation District. They can be contacted by calling 619/339-9630 for rates.
Natural Gas is provided via pipelines by the Southern California Gas Company. Call 619/352-5812 for rates.
